ISCED is part of the United Nations International System of Social and Economic Classifications used in statistics to ensure international comparability of data. ISCED serves as a tool for the collection and reporting of education statistics at both national and international levels. ISCED 2011 presents a revised version of ISCED 1997 levels of education and the corresponding classification of educational attainment based on recognized educational qualifications.
