Countries are introduced to the concept of employment-related income for use in statistical activities. Such income is the result of people's current or past participation in employment. The concepts of “income from employment” and “income from self-employment” are introduced. The 21st ICLS, in order to harmonize with the standards adopted by the 18th, 19th and 20th ICLS, adopted a Resolution amending Resolution 16 of the 16th ICLS on the measurement of employment-related income.
